About the name...

A Scruffy Pilgrim aspires to a way of life.  One that is rooted in understanding God loves us in our brokeness and culminates in loving others in the same way.  We are Scruffy because we believe that God takes us just as we are, unkempt and raggedy, and loves us unconditionally.  We are pilgrims because we wander with purpose.  We love roads less traveled.  We believe that the growth toward love that God desires for each of us happens best when we give up control, worry less about the destination, and embrace the journey.
