Aurora

As the sun encroaches

Upon our realm

Looking to the sky

I perceive dimly the stars beyond

They slowly fade

From the night canopy

Overshadowed

by the brazen sun

It washes the heavens

With pretended brilliance

I see through

The garish device

The thin membrane

Of our atmosphere

Obscures greater suns

Beyond

O God Let me see you

Transfix the veil of lesser light

That hides your Greatness

And Delight
